From a young age, Tammy was shaped by two passions: a deep love for animals and a genuine appreciation for a good story, often found reading by flashlight late into the night. Her dream of helping animals became a reality during a high school placement where she fell in love with the compassionate, hands-on role of a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). While life has evolved, that foundational instinct to nurture remains at the heart of everything she does.

Tammy and her husband—who first connected as childhood penpals—make their home in Oro-Medonte. They’ve raised two children who share that same caring spirit: a daughter working as an RN while pursuing her nurse practitioner credential, and a son serving as a security officer at a local hospital.

Their lively home is a bustling ecosystem of rescue pets. It features Marty (a larger-than-life Min Pin cross), Yoshi (a master manipulator at 14), Ripley (an 8-year-old orange tabby with signature sass), Pickles (a chonky tuxedo cat), two bunnies named Winnie and Mr. Henry, and a trio of crested geckos.

When she isn't caring for her family and menagerie, Tammy loves getting lost in a book, crafting, scrapbooking, and card making. Deeply valuing personal connection, she puts heart, thoughtfulness, and meticulous detail into everything she creates.
